Government Relations/ Lobbyist

Lobbyist sought to join IBM US Government Relations team. The candidate will assist Government Relations team advocating the interests of a large technology company. A background in business and economic issues, and interest in the information technology sector is helpful.

Responsibilities include working with House and Senate leadership, lobbying the legislative branch, establishing and extending relationships with Members of Congress and Congressional Caucuses, engaging in a grassroots program, and assisting executives testifying before Congress.

The successful candidate will have 3 to 7 years of experience with US Congress, a strong network of Hill contacts, and a proven record of advancing important issues through the legislative process. Congressional Leadership and grassroots experience helpful.

Relevant skills include understanding of political relationships and the legislative process, teaming and relationship building skills, execution ability, comfort with change and shifting priorities, and aptitude with technology.
