The primary focus of the Government Relations Manager is to facilitate the company’s Government Relations efforts through analysis and reporting on relevant political and legislative activity. Job Description: *Monitors emerging local and state government activity affecting the company. *Researches and analyzes state and federal legislation and public policy issues. *Supports department’s lobbying efforts by tracking legislation, compiling legislative histories, and monitoring committee meetings. *Develops and maintains key department databases, reports, and documents. *Assists with dignitary events, fundraisers, and similar projects related to company’s government and public affairs efforts. *Liaises with counterparts in other departments at Wynn Resorts and Wynn Las Vegas to coordinate and ensure consistency in all activities and outreach. *Works closely with and oversees professional development of the Government Affairs Coordinator. *Performs other duties as assigned. Job Requirements: *Must have experience and be able to research, analyze, and summarize information from multiple sources. *Superior organizational skills and judgment, with capacity to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail and meeting established deadlines. *Excellent customer service skills. *Excellent interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts, including public officers and elected officials. *College degree or equivalent. *Advanced communication (verbal, written) and computer skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint at a minimum). *Must have a flexible schedule and be willing and able to travel and work evenings and weekends as needed. *Must be 21 years of age or older. *Experience with local, state, and federal agencies preferred. *College degree in Political Science, Communications, Public Administration or a related field preferred. *Familiarity with gaming industry or Nevada legislative process preferred. *Familiarity with federal and state campaign finance law preferred.
