Senior Legislative Assistant -- House Member Personal Office

House Appropriations and Budget Committee member seeks Senior Legislative Assistant to handle legislative portfolio that includes budget, tax, financial services, education, housing, among other issues. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: staffing member for Appropriations and Budget Committee assignments; formulating policy questions and statements for hearings, markups and floor activities; writing constituent correspondence; preparing member for stakeholder briefings and floor votes; and representing member in constituent and interest group meetings and interactions. Minimum requirements include: at least three years Legislative Assistant experience on Capitol Hill. Qualified candidates will also have strong communication skills (both oral and written), show initiative in previous work experience, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
