The Digital Editor will assist the Legal Editors and the IT Director on a variety of projects relating to the publication of the precedents of the U.S. House of Representatives. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Maintaining, updating, and editing the Office’s SQL database for content and accuracy for publishable materials. Researching and composing reports from database to assist with Office’s needs. Acting as a liaison between the Office and the GPO in production and

REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree required.
Excellent computer database management essential. Knowledge of SQL,

Job Summary:
Responsible for franchise relationships, franchise management and public policy matters with elected and appointed city and county government officials of assigned communities within the Oregon SW Washington Region of Comcast. Develops and implements plans to most effectively manage these relationships and issues which arise in assigned communities. Coordinates with internal and external individuals, companies and other stakeholders to accomplish goals, complete projects and best address the needs of each community.

- Develops and implements strategy for government affairs and public
policy issues for specific franchises as well as strategy for local
regulatory initiatives. Secures and maintains franchise operating
authority for the company.
- Organizes and directs all franchise renewal efforts in the assigned
area, including developing and implementing franchise renewal strategies
consistent with corporate guidelines; secures timely franchise renewals
on acceptable terms; manages the maintenance of local franchise
administration and database information; and ensures the timely delivery
of franchise renewal notifications.
- Resolves complex and/or difficult franchise renewals, franchise
transfers, and franchise non-compliance issues, as required.
- Develops and maintains relationships with government representatives
and regulators at the federal, state, and local level. Travels to attend
meetings, hearings, or other events to represent the company.
- Manages outside counsel, consultants, or lobbyists to implement
strategies or initiatives.
- Provides leadership and supervision to Government and Regulatory staff
including staffing, performance management, compensation
administration, office management, etc.
- Maintains community affairs budget(s).
- Oversees programming related to corporate initiatives and community
affairs activities.
- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters
of significance.
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work
nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.

Basic Qualifications:

Experience communicating policy views to congressional staff and knowledge of the congressional environment is essential, as well as knowledge about the professional standards for lobbyists.
The ability to quickly and thoroughly analyze a broad range of issues utilizing varied analytical techniques is key, as is sophisticated/strategic thinking to determine how best to influence decision/policy makers. Demonstrated abilities setting and meeting objectives while reacting within a dynamic internal and external environments are a must. The ability to synthesize complex problems/public policy issues while identifying their related business implications and the actions necessary to advocate a recommended outcome is essential. Uncompromising ethics, integrity, sound judgment is essential. A hands on approach to problem solving, as well as a professional executive presence for interacting with and influencing public policy decision makers, senior management and executives internal and external to the company is necessary.
