Constituent Service Internship - Constituent Service Interns will work

district offices in Gaithersburg and Hagerstown, MD for the 2015
Spring semester. Interns are an integral part of the team and are given

office. Our district office interns work with us as full-fledged members

The Executive Director of University Development, will lead, develop and mentor the development staff of key schools and colleges (Agriculture and Natural Resources, Arts and Humanities, Architecture, Planning and Preservation, Behavioral and Social Sciences, Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center, Education, Journalism, Public Health and Student Affairs). S/he will manage those frontline fundraisers who are responsible for meeting campaign goals by soliciting major gifts and developing donor pipelines. S/he will help ensure the success of these units by setting clearly defined measurable goals for these units, monitoring and measuring fundraising progress and productivity, evaluating results and initiating appropriate modifications as needed. S/he will provide strategic direction and leadership for the fundraising team for these units. The EDOD will work with the AVP for Development on strategy and goal setting within the units and provide regular progress updates. S/he will partner with college and school deans to ensure units have effective and productive development operations. The EDOD will be responsible for assisting in the design and implementation of staff training programs. On occasion this position will assume chief development officer responsibilities when a key vacancy occurs in a school/college.
