Our law firm is in the market for a new professional staffer to support our trade association legislative and regulatory practice. The position is equivalent to a manager of government affairs in a trade association. The ideal candidate will have great written communications skills, as well as some time on the Hill or in an association legislative shop. The job will involve A LOT of writing for varied audiences (e.g., developing articles for client publications, letters to the Hill, press releases, etc.). The position will also support our PAC fundraising, grassroots development, direct lobbying, coalition management, etc.
We have a great working environment in Old Town, as well as a stable client base (among others, our firm manages the Aeronautical Repair Station Association and serves as the Washington office for the Associated Equipment Distributors). There’s also a long history of upward mobility at our firm (associates becoming partners, non-lawyers going to law school and becoming associates, etc.)
