Legislative Director - Midwestern Republican seeks experienced Legislative Director to manage team of four legislative staff and advance aggressive agenda across a variety of issues. Experience in Financial Services strongly preferred. Candidate should have a proven record of mentoring and training less experienced staff, implementing legislative initiatives with bipartisan advocacy coalitions, managing an efficient mail program, and strong writing, analytical, and teambuilding skills. Internship (Immediate Opening) - The Office of U.S. Rep. John Carter (TX-31) is currently seeking applicants for an unpaid internship, available to start soon and work through the middle of August. Candidates should have a strong work ethic and be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include: Managing phones, mail sorting/data entry, constituent tours of the Capitol, and other projects delegated by staff. Texas ties are strongly preferred.
