Legislative Assistant -- House Member Personal Office

Congressman Aderholt [R-AL04] (10th term Member; Appropriations Committee - Agriculture Subcommittee Chair) is looking for an experienced Legislative Assistant. Candidates need to have been a full-time Legislative Assistant, worked through at least one year of the budget cycle, and handled multiple requests to appropriations subcommittees. The ideal candidate has the ability to balance thoroughness, speed, and closure, and has good communications skills in meeting and working with constituents, associations/business groups etc, and with committee staff. Issue portfolio is negotiable, but issues are likely to be selected from: Banking, Budget, Census Bureau, Commerce Dept, Cybersecurity, Economy, Energy, FEMA, Financial Services, Homeland Security, Labor, Manufacturing and regulatory issues, Postal issues, Social Security, Tax, Trade, Treasury, TSA, Water, Welfare.
