Communications Director – Congressman Michael C. Burgess, M.D. (R-TX) is seeking a D.C.-based Communications Director.  Candidates should have experience in a press-related position or a strong journalism/media background. Must be a self-starter, have new-media savvy, the ability to think creatively, and able to work long hours under pressure in order to respond quickly to deadlines and media opportunities. Candidates must have outstanding writing skills. Duties include: drafting press releases, statements, and newsletters; developing national and state media outreach strategies; providing content for and managing the website; managing new-media presence; building relationships with Texas and national media; manage daily press clips and other duties as assigned.  Salary is commensurate with experience.  Email resume, references and writing samples to: burgessjobs@mail.house.gov  No calls or drop-ins please.

Communications Director - Oklahoma Republican seeks a qualified and experienced communications director to manage and coordinate all communications activities.  Candidates must have 2 years of press experience and possess strong written and oral communications skills as well as an understanding of legislative issues.   Responsibilities include but are not limited to writing press releases and statements, website content, responding to press inquiries, producing op-eds and creating newsletters.   Email resume tooklarepublican@gmail.com            

Executive Assistant/Scheduler - The office of Congressman Jim Gerlach is currently accepting applications from qualified candidates for an Executive Assistant/Scheduler position in the Washington, DC office. Responsibilities include scheduling DC meetings and events for the Congressman; processing executive correspondence; managing office internship program; and assisting with other duties as assigned.
