Communications Director - Congressman Phil Gingrey is seeking an aggressive Communications Director to run all press operations from the Washington, D.C. office. Candidates should have established relationships with press contacts and working familiarity with issues such as health care, energy, and national security. Responsibilities include but are not limited to developing and implementing an overall communications strategy; pitching and booking media opportunities; writing press releases, statements, op-eds, and the weekly newsletter; website maintenance; and managing social media. Ideal candidates will be proactive, energetic, a team player, and not averse to working long hours as needed. Salary will be commensurate with experience. Military Legislative Assistant - The Office of Congressman Rob Wittman (VA-01) is seeking a Military Legislative Assistant (MLA). It is important that the MLA have familiarity with the DOD POM Process, overall budgeting, and the ability to track major acquisition and RDT&E programs, particularly with respect to shipbuilding. Additionally, prior legislative experience with the Defense Authorization and Appropriations Process is preferred. An ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines is necessary. Significant travel to the district and other military installations is required. Virginia ties are helpful, and prior military service is preferred.
