The position will report to the Vice President, Government Affairs and Trade. The position will provide a high level of executive support, research and project coordination to the VP, Government Affairs and Trade (head of Alcoa Washington Office) and other members of Alcoa’s Government Affairs (AGA) Washington Office. The candidate will be responsible for administrative/office management support. • Provide dedicated executive support to the VP, Government Affairs. Serve as administrative back-up for others members of AGA’s Washington Office as needed. • Compose correspondence, memos and reports; gather data for reports; compile information and create charts, graphs and PowerPoint presentations; and research policy issues. • Extensive meeting/calendar management, including travel planning, scheduling meetings, preparing meeting materials, producing briefing books, and coordinating follow-up. • Perform administrative duties and reimbursements; handle messages and mail, maintain records, etc. • Lead the daily coordination of projects including preparing and maintaining project plans. • Make independent decisions regarding planning, organizing and scheduling of own work. • Assemble highly confidential and sensitive information Job Requirements: Skills: • possess ability to maintain a high degree of sensitivity and discretion in dealing with legal, private, confidential and proprietary matters • excellent organization skills and attention to detail • proficiency with all Microsoft product • strong interpersonal and communication skills Basic Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree • Minimum of one year administration experience (preferably on Capitol Hill) in US Government, trade association or a government affairs office
