Chief People Person/Practice Manager Job Details • Title: Chief People Person/Practice Manager • Reports to: Assistant Director and Director • Position Type & Hours: Full-Time • Location: Downtown Washington DC near Farragut Square/Dupont Circle Company Overview National Center for Weight and Wellness (NCWW) is a unique, multidisciplinary weight management and health promotion practice. Our mission is to build long term relationships with patients and support them as they learn to manage their weight and health in smart and sustainable ways. Our staff of physicians, psychologists, dietitians, and other healthcare professionals work as a team, focused on the unique concerns and needs of each individual patient. Job Description We are looking for a unique candidate to act as our Chief People Person (CPP) and “uber Practice Manager” – a strategic thinker who is willing to roll up his or her sleeves to lead day-to-day operations and move the practice to new heights. The CPP sits at the center of our high-energy practice leading and continually improving daily operations, managing the contributions of ~20 clinical providers and support staff, helping our practice improve our patients’ lives, and facilitating business growth. The ideal candidate is passionate about working with people, has excellent managerial and organizational skills, has a passion for health and wellness, and enjoys being part of an active work-family environment. Responsibilities: • Customer service: Be the initial point person for managing day-to-day operations, maximizing patient experiences, and troubleshooting issues as they arise. • Staff management: Lead administrative and support staff to maximize productivity and communication. • Problem solving: Manage day-to-day patient needs, respond as needed to issues that arise, anticipate potential issues before they arise. • Patient communication: Serve as liaison between patients and the clinical and support staff. • Billing: Manage patient accounts with focus on accounts receivable. • Scheduling: Manage appointment scheduling and daily client accounts to maximize staff utilization. • Systems maintenance: Create and maintain a database of insurance reimbursement information and patient experiences to improve accuracy of financial counseling for patients. Implement systems for ongoing management of daily business operations (e.g., inventory, procurement, document management, bill payments, payroll, and office maintenance coordination). • Marketing and Strategy: Manage marketing efforts including social networking and traditional marketing campaigns. Assess alternate channels to drive growth and profitability. Qualifications/Skills • A “patient first” attitude • Bachelors’ degree or equivalent with 2-3 years of administrative, managerial or professional work experience • Strong technical/computer skills with Microsoft Windows and Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and basic practice management software • Ability to train staff with software, record management, and client interaction • Track record of balancing recurring tasks while initiating and completing ad-hoc projects • Engaging attitude and ability to work well with others Contact anna@nationalweight.org
