Staff Assistant – The Office of Congressman Pete Olson (TX-22) is seeking a Staff Assistant for the Washington, DC office.  Successful candidate will manage all constituent tours, flag requests, greet all visitors, as well as assist legislative and press operations.   The ideal candidate will have strong writing, organizational and interpersonal skills, and a high degree of professionalism.  Texas ties are a must, Houston ties preferred.  Please send resume and writing sample to Texas22Jobs@gmail.com.  No phone calls or faxes please.

Scheduler – Congressman Steve King (IA-5) is now accepting applications for the position of scheduler in his Washington, DC office.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:  scheduling an active Member of Congress in both Washington and Iowa, making travel arrangements for the member, and completing other clerical work.  Applicants should be committed, pro-life conservatives.  Candidates must possess initiative, enjoy working with a variety of people, have strong organizational skills, and have the ability to multi-task.  Iowa ties are a plus.  Interested applicants are asked to send a resume and a cover letter explaining why they would like to work for Rep. Unpaid Internships - Congressman J. Randy Forbes (R-VA) has three full-time, unpaid internships available for the 2011 Spring session in his Washington, DC office. Duties include answering telephones and greeting visitors, collecting constituent information, researching legislation and policy issues, drafting policy updates, attending briefings and hearings, and assisting communications, administrative and legislative staff. Must be highly motivated, self-starter, detail oriented, and possess excellent organizational and communication skills, a strong work ethic, a positive attitude and have the ability to manage multiple tasks on a deadline. This is a great opportunity for college students and graduates seeking Capitol Hill experience. Virginia ties preferred, but not necessary.
