Staff Assistant - Rep.-elect Tim Griffin (AR-02) is seeking a Staff Assistant for his Washington, D.C. office.  Successful candidates must have excellent organizational, interpersonal, writing and communication skills, and must work well in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of professionalism.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: inputting constituent mail, greeting visitors, arranging tours and flag requests, answering phones, and other general office duties. Scheduler/Office Manager – Rep.-elect Tim Griffin (AR-02) is seeking a Scheduler for his Washington, D.C. office. Successful candidates must possess initiative, have the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment, be able to prioritize tasks, and have strong organizational, interpersonal, writing and communication skills.  Scheduling responsibilities include, but are not limited to:  scheduling and managing the Member's calendar in both Washington and the district, and making travel arrangements for the Member.  Additional responsibilities include monitoring office supplies, tracking employee leave, and ensuring that all staff comply with established office protocols. Legislative Correspondent/Systems Administrator – Congressman-Elect Michael Grimm (NY-13) (Staten Island & Brooklyn) seeks an experienced Legislative Correspondent/Systems Administrator for his DC office. Primary responsibilities include running a high volume constituent mail operation; editing and writing constituent letters; and possibly handling a small portfolio of legislative issues.  Ideal candidates will have some Capitol Hill experience, excellent writing skills and a strong connection to New York City.  Please send a cover letter, resume, and two short writing samples to cberardini@earthlink.net. Press Secretary/Communications Director – Congressman-Elect Michael Grimm (NY-13) (Staten Island & Brooklyn) is looking for a Press Secretary/Communications Director to implement a media strategy for a very media active Member of Congress. The successful candidate must possess excellent written and oral communications skills. A successful candidate will have previous experience as a Press Secretary and/or as a Communications Director. Possessing a strong rolodex of National and New York City media is essential. Spring Internship - Congressman Erik Paulsen’s office is currently accepting applications for internships in the District office in Eden Prairie, MN and in Washington, D.C. A Congressional internship offers applicants an exciting opportunity to support staff while learning about the daily operations of the Legislative branch. Interns will assist the staff with constituent services, communications, administrative tasks, and legislative research. Interns working in the District Office have the opportunity to contribute to the office’s interaction with the surrounding community through constituent services, local events, and community meetings. Interns in the Washington, D.C. Office will gain insight into the federal government and the legislative process by working closely with staff and attending hearings and briefings. Candidates should have a strong work ethic, be highly organized and motivated, and possess a positive attitude. MN ties preferred.
