 JOB ANNOUNCEMENT – Director of Public Information and Communication

The Delta Regional Authority (DRA) is an independent federal/state agency serving 252 counties/parishes in its eight-state region seeking a Director of Public Information and Communications.  
The position will be DRA’s senior person for public information and communication, in the Delta Region. Specifically, the Director is responsible for strategic thinking and a proven track record of developing and implementing innovative communications strategies that include website and social media that will advance DRA goals. The Director should have experience with public policy and experience either in a congressional office or directing communications for a government agency or corporation.   
Additionally, the Director must have strong writing, editing, media outreach skills and  will ensure that the DRA is viewed as the ultimate repository, primary source, disseminator, and conduit of information within this diverse network and constituent base.
