National Alliance Partnership Coordinator
The Alliance to End Hunger engages diverse institutions in building the public and political will to end hunger. The Alliance has more than 80 members -- corporations, non-profit groups, universities, individuals, and Christian, Jewish and Muslim religious bodies.

The Alliance has an exciting opportunity for a professional individual to manage its new National Alliance Partnership Program (NAPP), funded by a grant from the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD). This person will coordinate and administer the program, work directly with three national alliances to successfully achieve the outcomes of the grant. A bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 4 years of work experience in a relevant field. Experience with and/or knowledge of how to conduct organizational assessments, strategic planning and fundraising. Experience with and/or strong knowledge of advocacy and policy analysis techniques. Experience of living and/or working overseas for extended periods, particularly in Africa, strongly preferred. Foreign language experience is a plus. Knowledge of, and connections to, institutions within the global security framework such as USAID, the UN Agencies, CAADP, and the World Bank. Strong interpersonal skills, including demonstrated ability to lead a diverse set of stakeholders toward achieving a common goal. Must be a self-starter and a problem-solver, and able to work independently with minimal oversight. A working knowledge of MS Office programs. Significant overseas travel required. Make a minimum of two visits to each of the three NAPP countries. Each visit could be as long as two to four weeks.
