Legislative Assistant – Senate Republican is seeking a highly-motivated self-starter with at least three years of Hill experience to join his hard-working team. This legislative assistant will handle transportation, telecommunications, and infrastructure-related portfolio for a member of the Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee. Experience with these issues is required. The position may also include additional policy issue areas. Responsibilities include preparing committee briefing materials, crafting legislation and amendments, advising the Senator on assigned issues, assisting with constituent mail, and supervising a Fellow. Very strong writing and interpersonal skills are essential for any successful candidate.
