Communications Director - Oklahoma Republican seeks a qualified and experienced communications director to manage and coordinate all communications activities. Candidates must have 2 years of press experience and possess strong written and oral communications skills as well as an understanding of legislative issues. Responsibilities include but are not limited to writing press releases and statements, website content, responding to press inquiries, producing op-eds and creating newsletters. Legislative Assistant – The office of Congressman Geoff Davis is seeking a dedicated individual with at least two to three years of Hill experience to join his hard-working, fast-paced team. The position will primarily cover trade, transportation and defense issues – experience with those issues is preferred. The position will also include additional policy issue areas. Responsibilities will include crafting legislation and amendments, advising the Congressman on assigned issues, constituent mail within issue areas and developing constituent outreach and communication initiatives. Strong writing and interpersonal skills are essential for any successful candidate. Primary responsibilities include running a high volume constituent mail operation; editing and writing constituent letters; and possibly handling a small portfolio of legislative issues. Ideal candidates will have some Capitol Hill experience, excellent writing skills, and Internet Quorum (IQ) expertise.
