Intern(s) - The office of Congressman Robert Latta (OH-5) is looking for interns for our Washington, D.C. office for the fall. We are looking for highly qualified candidates that are motivated, detail-oriented, and personable. The ideal candidates will have excellent research and writing abilities, be able to multi-task and interact well with constituents. These are unpaid positions, but interns will have the opportunity to experience working on Capitol Hill, learn about the legislative process, and attend briefings of interest. Responsibilities include giving tours of the Capitol, assisting with constituent correspondence, supporting the legislative staff on various projects, and assisting the communications staff with new media outreach. Fall Interns- Upstate New York Representative Richard Hanna seeks an intern to work mid-August to mid-December 2011 in Washington, D.C. College juniors and seniors are encouraged to apply. Those interested in a Capitol Hill internship should be able to dedicate 20 hours per week to the internship. Responsibilities include answering phones, sorting mail, handling constituent requests, legislative correspondence, conducting tours of the U.S. Capitol, working on special projects and attending congressional hearings. The office of Congressman F. James Sensenbrenner is seeking interns for fall 2011 in both the District and Washington, DC offices.
