Vice President of Legal and Regulatory Affairs Wine & Spirits Wholesalers of America The Wine & Spirits Wholesalers of America (WSWA) seeks an attorney with significant federal regulatory experience to serve as the organization’s primary contact to federal executive branch departments and agencies, as well as support WSWA’s efforts with state officials and regulators. Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Government Affairs, the Vice President of Legal and Regulatory Affairs will create and execute a coordinated strategy for regulatory advocacy, including the development of position papers. This position will also provide counsel and support on federal and state law and regulatory issues, including the drafting of model legislation and outreach to state officials and regulators. This position will also track relevant state and federal litigation, and manage and coordinate outside counsel. The candidate should possess a Juris Doctor degree and have strong experience with and a deep understanding of federal regulatory agencies and their decision-making processes. Experience with congressional offices is preferred. Excellent, persuasive writing and oral communication skills are a must, as well as strong project management and organizational abilities. The successful candidate must be a self-starter, a team player, creative, and able to prioritize, multitask and meet deadlines. Salary commensurate with experience.
