Online Marketing Director
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
1. Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Business or related field; or equivalent. Master’s degree preferred.
2. Ten (10) years increasing responsibility with demonstrated success in the field of digital marketing - online communications, social marketing, email marketing.
3. Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, content development and content management; in-depth knowledge of web site design, development and management; experience with web reporting systems and analytics; experience utilizing the web and social media for sales conversion experience with web optimization, SEO and SEM planning, e-advocacy and member engagement; strong knowledge of social marketing, theory and strategy.
4. Responsible for print and digital advertising sales.
5. Demonstrated ability to learn and apply new technologies and business concepts and manage vendors and agencies.
6. Strong management and collaboration skills.
7. Strategic planner; ability to organize, prioritize and manage work against project timelines; and strong communication, decision-making, organization and leadership skills. Must be detail-oriented.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Online Marketing Director is responsible for:
• Strategic planning, development and implementation for the digital marketing strategies, channel mix of NFIB.
o Draft and execute SEO and SEM strategies to drive engagement and achieve conversion goals.
o Develop and implement social media strategy (Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, Google+)
• Oversee demand generation & inbound marketing plan including developing and tracking toward clear goals driving conversion & revenue.
• Optimize online environment for NFIB.
• Develop new methods to acquire and retain memberships through the digital media.
• Set up and analyze A/B or multi-variant tests that improve channel and/or site metrics.
• Conduct in-depth analyses and provide insights into marketing metrics and performance.
• Manage all aspects of budgeting and forecasting for acquisition, retention and social channels.
• Manage partnerships with internal/external agencies to drive lead generations, optimize website performance, customer experience and increase online sales.
• Directs internal and external sources regarding positioning and promotion of all digital assets including NFIB.com to ensure maximum member and key constituency awareness and use.
• Acts as brand steward, ensuring that NFIB.com is primary branding and communications tool for NFIB and effectively represents NFIB’s value proposition.
• Leads NFIB’s development team to support and provide strategic consultation to NFIB departments regarding site functionality and recommend new features/functionality designed to increase engagement, conversion and revenue.
• Provides training, web guidelines and other resources to ensure the organization is adhering to best practices.
• Establish and grow relationships with key members across the organization, specifically Communications, Public Policy, Sales, IT and Political departments.
• Manage digital team ranging from entry to manager level.
Must communicate effectively both verbally and in writing; work outcomes must meet and/or exceed productivity and quality standards. Must be able to work as part of a cooperative team environment and independent of direct supervision; adhere to Company and Department policies and procedures.
