Openings for the Southern Rivers Region -- Cargill's River/Gulf System

The Southern Rivers Region consists of 18 assets handling in excess of 250 mil bushels of grain annually and generating revenues in excess of $72 mil. Working alongside the Northern Rivers Region team and our Grain and Oilseeds Supply Chain NA (GOSCNA) Business Unit, we are a significant contributor within Cargill's River/Gulf System. Serving both Cargill's farmer customers and our GOSCNA assets in the Gulf, we work together to originate multiple commodities and position them for shipment to Cargill's customers - both domestically and around the world. Based out of our St. Louis, MO office, these three roles are key contributors on the Southern Rivers Team. Role Specific Highlights of the two Merchant Roles include: • The primary objective is to uncover opportunity and generate revenue by proactively positioning and trading the truck, rail and barge markets across the assigned geography. • Responsibilities will include managing the merchandising and logistics for the assigned Cargill assets and 3rd party flex destinations within the region. • Additionally, merchants will be responsible for the management of contract exposure, 3rd party credit, and freight projections/execution. • Cross-functional and Cross-Business Unit interaction is significant in both roles. • Both roles offer decision making responsibility, P&L accountability and the expectation to make significant financial contribution to the bottom-line - not only within the Southern Rivers region, but including the River/Gulf System and the Cargill AgHorizons Business Unit. Merchandising Online Postings: Merchandising #1 Merchandising #2 Role Specific Highlights of the Accountant role includes: • The Professional Accountant position is a key member of the Regional Finance Team. This position will work closely with the Regional Controller to ensure the financial integrity, risk management and profitability of the Southern Rivers Region. • This role will perform month-end close processes, balance sheet reconciliations and approvals and control monitoring activities for the region. • This position will be expected to provide local expertise and support to the Region while ensuring consistent processes whenever possible. Responsibilities include fiduciary responsibility and controls, grain accounting (including grain marketing solutions/derivative products), IT, customer interaction, business partnership and administrative functions associated with the region. • Additionally, the accountant will also perform daily accounting work such as control monitoring activities including A/R & A/P monitoring and inventory control monitoring.
