Assistant to Market President -- Bank of Labor
JOB SUMMARY:
Under direct supervision of the Market President, East Region, the successful candidate performs a variety of duties ensuring the smooth operation in the D.C. office. These responsibilities include performing numerous activities associated with logistics, supporting staff & management, managing the day to day operation and flow for the Washington DC office, client & prospect identification and private banking functions. The employee’s work influences the professional image of the Bank within the community it serves.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED:
? Minimum educational requirement includes a 4 year degree in business administration/finance or related field.
? 3 plus years experience working for or with unions preferred.
? Specialized training in basic principles or techniques in specific areas such as, customer service, personal computers, and professional writing is necessary.
? Demonstrated proficiency in interpersonal communications, verbal and written, is mandatory. Concise communication, translation and interpretation of various concepts are critical.
? Ability to attain knowledge of labor unions, infrastructure, leadership and familiar with international unions, local unions and state federations.
? Ability to produce high-quality work product for meetings, presentations, etc. under tight deadlines. Creativity in producing documents for presentations is essential.
? Must be able to project a professional and positive image of the bank to clients and prospective clients.
? Superior time management, organizational and problem solving skills are required.
? Ability to exhibit self-management, being a team player with a positive attitude, initiative and attention to detail to undertake organizing multiple tasks effectively to completion.
? Previous background in direct sales and a proven track record in a sales goal/ incentive environment will enhance the performance of this job.
? Required registration on the federal Nation-wide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) Registry.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES / EXPECTATIONS:
• Job Performance Behaviors: Contributing to organization success, job effectiveness, relationships and customer satisfaction.
? Logistics: responsible for booking/confirming events and related activities. Ensures conference program(s), material, etc. are within guidelines and expectations.
? Support: provide to the Market President, department staff & Division Manager. Support includes, documentation on call logs with weekly discussion on nature of calls, etc. Must have a firm understanding and working knowledge of internal procedures/policies. Will work closely with various departments to ensure quality, responsiveness and accuracy of all work flow related to union clients.
? Office Administration: responsible, under the direction of the Market President, to manage the day to day operation and flow for the Washington DC office. Must ensure all security, operational and related guidelines are followed.
• Client and Prospect Identification: works closely with Market President to identify Tier I and Tier II clients and prospects. Provide Private Banking level support for Tier I and Tier II union and progressive clients/prospects. CRM -maintain records of prospects/clients and identify opportunities for product/services using internal and external data (LM reports, 990’s, etc.). Meet with Market President and Division Manger to identify and mine prospects, etc.
? Coordinate with Union prospects to open accounts, complete documentation and fulfill on boarding for deposit, credit card and loans using FIS core systems. Will work closely with union division staff to ensure checkback is thorough, accurate and timely. Will immediately follow up on all exceptions and provide timely report to manager on progress.
Specific Duties
• Works closely with Market President, Division manager and agency (of record) to engage branding & marketing strategies.
• Develop, with manager, ROI methodology.
• Must have knowledge and proficiency of internal systems to provide Union reporting for Board and Management.
• Responsible for developing and managing tracking system for all calls and business development activities.
