Executive Assistant, Government Relations -- Kimberly-Clark Corporation (K-C)

EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT, GOVERNMENT RELATIONS Kimberly-Clark Corporation (K-C) seeks to hire an experienced highly motivated, well organized and efficient Executive Assistant to be part of the Government Relations team. The position will be based in the Washington, DC office and report to the Vice President, Government Relations. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES The ideal candidate will be comfortable in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment and interfacing with governmental officials, internal staff, executives and the diplomatic community. This individual will:  Provide administrative assistance to two or more members of the Government Relations team.  Assist with planning executive-level meetings in Washington, DC and elsewhere to include drafting agendas, briefing book preparation, logistics, research, etc.  Maintain the budget and calendars, coordinate travel and process expense reports.  Set-up purchase orders, process invoices and work with accounts payable to ensure invoices are paid in a timely manner.  Help prepare quarterly federal lobbying disclosure statements.  Perform general administrative tasks, including mail distribution, records and file maintenance and procure office supplies.  Other duties as directed. PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:  Associates or four year degree required.  A minimum of three years of experience ideally working in a corporate or association government relations office.  Demonstrated time management skills to meet short deadlines and manage multiple projects with varying deadlines.  Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint) is required.  Proficiency with invoicing and expense report processing is desired (SAP). PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS: To qualify for this position candidates must have:  Strong verbal and written interpersonal communication skills.  The ability to adapt to handle multiple priorities in a rapidly changing environment.
