Government and External Affairs Manager-TFS00069 Description   Toyota Financial Services Our people are the driving force behind our success and we're moving forward!  Join a dynamic company known for rapid growth and solid success.    To make your mark as Government and External Affairs Manager you will: Primary focus is to follow legislative issue development at both the State and Federal levels, monitoring for issues that could affect Toyota Financial Services (TFS) core businesses.  Follow Federal and State legislative issue development and coordinate TFS' response.  Interact with affected business units, TMA Government Affairs, and trade associations (e.g. American Financial Services Association and Financial Services Roundtable).  Provide guidance and recommendations to top management, and develop presentations and other materials for explanation to TFS board and parent organization.      Work with TFS Treasury and Corporate Planning to assist in development of presentations to Investors and Ratings Agencies.  Support other Corporate Communications activities as needed.  Act as a secondary contact for external media inquiries, working to determine TFS responses.   Initial focus will be government affairs.  The role will evolve based on business needs. Qualifications   TFS is looking for individuals with strong business sense and practical expertise. Successful candidates should have: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Government Relations, Journalism, Communications, Political Science, or related field required. 7+ years of related experience.  A proven track record in lobbying and working with/managing contract lobbyists desirable, as is a network of legislative contacts.   Auto finance knowledge is a plus. Familiarity with legislative process.
