Administrative Assistant/Office Manager -- DC Government Affairs Firm

JOB DESCRIPTION FOR ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT/OFFICE MANAGER Bipartisan government affairs firm is seeking an administrative assistant/office manager capable of handling the administrative functions of a busy office, while also providing limited research support. Applicants should have a strong business background and experience handling billing and light accounting responsibilities in a corporate environment. Responsibilities include: Handling accounting responsibilities; Answering telephones and handling correspondence; Arranging for travel and logistics; and scheduling and managing events and political functions. Along with these business oriented functions, the ideal candidate will also have an interest in politics, public policy and an opportunity to provide research support for senior staff. Research projects are likely to involve, but not be limited to, Internet issue monitoring, legislative monitoring and other fact finding endeavors. The candidate should have strong interpersonal skills required to represent the firm. The candidate must also be confident and comfortable working in a fast paced environment.
