Volunteers for the Republican National Committee Convention -- Updated Contact Information

Dear fellow members of the Republican National Committee, I want to update you on the volunteer program for the 2012 Republican National Convention, so that you are prepared to answer volunteer related questions in the upcoming months. The 2012 Tampa Bay Host Committee will recruit, train and manage approximately 7,500 volunteers during the week of the 2012 Republican National Convention. These volunteers will welcome guests at local airports and hotels throughout the area, as well as support Host Committee programs and a variety of events in the months leading up to the convention. The volunteer registration process is explained in detail on the 2012 Tampa Bay Host Committee website, As of today, over 2,000 volunteers have registered and well over 24% of shifts have been filled. The attached Volunteer Registration form outlines the step by step process for volunteer registration. I have registered and found it easy to do so. At the time of registration, all volunteers will select one volunteer role and one volunteer orientation session. All selected volunteers will be issued an official uniform to wear during their volunteer service. The different volunteer types are: airport greeters, event way-finders, distribution center assistants, hotel greeters, event set-up crew and office administration assistants. All volunteers must be 18 years of age by June 2012. All volunteers must agree to a background check, and no credentials or tickets will be made available to volunteers. Each volunteer is responsible for his/her own travel related costs and expenses. Please encourage interested people to register online now. Again, the website is Please direct questions to Thank you. Paul Senft Committee on Arrangements Chairman, Volunteer Subcommittee
