NSSGA is the leading voice and advocate for the aggregates industry. Its members – stone, sand and gravel producers and the equipment manufacturers and service providers who support them – produce the essential raw materials found in homes, buildings, roads, bridges and public works projects and represent more than 90 percent of the crushed stone and 70 percent of the sand and gravel mined annually in the United States. Specific Duties • Research, develop and write dynamic online content to advance NSSGA’s agenda and to connect with aggregate producers, service providers and manufacturers • Serve as the NSSGA.org webmaster to ensure it is current and running efficiently o Develop new content and landing pages for NSSGA events and new initiatives o Report and analyze all website and social media analytics • Actively engage on social media to advance the association’s agenda • Oversee the technical aspects of online communications channels to ensure deliverability and accuracy • Additional duties as assigned by VP, Communications Minimum Qualifications, Competencies, Skills, Education, and Traits: • A deep enthusiasm for online strategies and communications. Continuously learning – proposing new ideas to benefit NSSGA’s membership and advocacy goals • Excellent writing, editing, proofreading and fact-checking skills • Solid, working knowledge of WordPress to develop pages, posts, and keep NSSGA.org up to date • Must have a minimum of two to four years of experience managing websites, developing features, enhancing existing content and writing and editing content • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with a focus on communications, journalism, marketing or public relations preferred • Photography and videography experience a plus Please provide short cover letter, resume and writing samples that include online examples (FB posts, tweets, blog entries, etc.) to hr@nssga.org.
