Summary
Financial and Economic analyst supporting U.S. Auto Analyst and U.S. Economist

Responsibilities
1. Industry & Financial Analysis Support (50-60% of Job Activities):
- Manage financial quarterly reports on main competitors
- Provide data gathering and analysis support for:
a) Competitiveness analyses, including financial and benchmarking analysis
b) Flash reports on industry developments
c) Commodity and steel research
- Provide ad-hoc analytical support to TMC and North American management and affiliates

2. Economic Analysis Support (40-50% of Job Activities):
- Provide data gathering and analysis support for:
a) Quarterly reports on overall state and outlook of the U.S. Economy
b) Flash reports on economic developments affecting the U.S. auto industry
- Participate in quarterly Wall Street economist interviews
- Update monthly economic indicator charts
- Provide ad-hoc economic support to TMC and North American affiliates and management
Qualifications
Position Requirements
- Candidate must have strong quantitative and analytical skills with rigorous attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
- Ability to manage and produce multiple projects simultaneously, working as part of a small team and often under tight deadlines
- High degree of flexibility, receptive to guidance
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products


Education and Experience
· The ideal candidate would have a bachelor's or master's degree in business, as well as extensive coursework and/or experience in finance / accounting or economics
· Two to four years of work experience in research is required, preferably in or related to the auto business
· Understanding and interest of the U.S. auto industry and linkage to the U.S. Economy
· Must have permanent authorization to work in the United States
