Job posting
A center-right news outlet seeks a social media professional to assist with maintaining the organization’s social media accounts, including Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr. In addition to helping manage the outlet’s online presence, the new media assistant will curate content from across the web for use in blogs and social media updates. The new media assistant will also have the opportunity to contribute regularly to the news site’s blogs and participate in the creative processes of its public relations, marketing and advertising initiatives. This is an entry-level job. A twitter following of 500 people or above is preferred. Experience with Tumblr is also preferred, but not required.
