Interns will work closely with the legislative staff to aide with research, office organization, constituent correspondence, and answering telephones. Position also involves tour responsibilities and the opportunity to attend legislative briefings, intern conferences, and seminars. The ideal candidate will be hard-working, detail-oriented, and professional. Strong oral and written communication skills are highly valued. Intern- Congressman Paul Gosar, D.D.S. (R – AZ – 01) is seeking applicants for an unpaid Fall internship in his Washington, DC office. Duties would include, but are not limited to, answering phones, greeting guests, organizing and compiling data, and supporting staff in other general office capacities. Qualified applicants will have excellent writing abilities, exceptional interpersonal skills, and a strong work ethic. Intern- The Washington DC office of Congressman Donald Manzullo, Representative for the 16th District of Illinois, is looking for qualified applicants for his Fall 2011 internship program. Those involved in our internship program have the opportunity to learn and contribute to the workings of a Congressional office. They perform administrative tasks, such as answering telephones, answering mail, and managing flag requests. Active, competent interns are often tasked with special projects, as well. This internship would last the academic semester. It is an unpaid position, but there is opportunity for school credit. We are flexible on start/end dates. Ideally, we would want someone to start in late August or early September and stay until mid-December.
