LA/Communicator – A Midwest Republican is accepting applications for a Legislative and Communications Team Member to oversee legislative policies and outreach on health care, and other issues. The successful candidate should have at least two years’ legislative experience, knowledge of federal health care laws and the ability to conduct effective outreach to constituent groups. Candidates should possess a strong analytical capability, excellent interpersonal skills and top-notch written and oral skills. Economics background is a plus. Legislative Director - Conservative House Member seeks experienced House Legislative Director. Must have at least 5-7 years total time in the House. Candidate ideally would possess good working knowledge of house legislative process, excellent communications skills and exceptional organizational abilities. Key responsibilities will be to manage, and interact with, a dynamic work environment with an active policy agenda. Prior work with conservative policy groups preferred. Senior Policy Assistant - Conservative House Member seeks Senior Policy Assistant to work in a fast paced and growing legislative shop. Ideal candidate would have prior OGR experience and also extensive experience managing and growing new caucus groups. Prior work experience with a conservative policy groups a plus. Staff Assistant - Rep. Bill Johnson OH-6 seeks a Staff Assistant. Core responsibilities will include greeting constituents, managing incoming phone and mail requests, managing constituent tours and flag requests, overseeing the DC intern program, assisting staff with legislative correspondence and other projects as delegated by staff along with general staff support. Candidates must be highly organized, possess meticulous attention to detail and have the ability to multitask. This is a unique position that requires someone who is proactive and personable. Internship – The Washington DC office of Representative Dan Lungren (R-CA) has an immediate opening for a full-time, unpaid intern. Responsibilities will include answering phones, giving Capitol tours, sorting and drafting mail, preparing hearing materials, and assisting staff with various projects. The ideal candidate will be hard-working, a good writer, and someone who takes the initiative. California ties preferred, but not required. Spring Internship – Congressman James Lankford (R-OK) is currently seeking spring interns to start work immediately. Interns are responsible for assisting with general front office duties including answering phones, conducting and scheduling tours of the Capitol, logging and writing office correspondence, and helping with other administrative tasks. Applicants should be detail oriented with excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor. Oklahoma ties are preferred but not required. Internship - The office of Congressman Brian Bilbray (R-CA) is seeking professional and dependable applicants for an unpaid, full-time or part-time internship positions for the spring semester. Duties will include, answering phones, sorting and inputting mail, assisting legislative staff with projects, conducting tours of the United States Capitol, and various other administrative tasks. This is an amazing opportunity to learn more about the legislative process and gain exposure to Capitol Hill. Interested candidates should possess strong written and oral communication skills, outstanding interpersonal skills, and have a strong interest in politics.
