Dear Friends:
I am writing to ask for your help as we begin a search at the National Trust for Historic Preservation for a Chief Financial & Administrative Officer.
The National Trust for Historic Preservation works in partnership with hundreds of state and local organizations to save individual places and to raise awareness about the vital role historic preservation plays in society – from sparking economic development and revitalizing neighborhoods to promoting environmental sustainability by conserving existing homes, buildings and communities.
Staff at the Washington, DC headquarters, eight regional and field offices and 29 historic sites work with the Trust’s 250,000 donors, advocates and hundreds of preservation groups in all 50 states. With an annual operating budget of $55 million, a $230 million endowment, and a staff of 350, the Trust takes direct action to lead efforts that save nationally significant places and strategies that have the potential for meaningful replication. It empowers its networks of partner organizations through delivery of high-impact services and tools. And it works to broaden and deepen the base of support across America for historic preservation by increasing the relevance of preservation and the National Trust, resulting in both individual action and great financial resources for the movement.
