Legislative/Press Assistant--Congressman Doc Hastings

Legislative/Press Assistant: Congressman Doc Hastings seeks a proactive individual with at least one year of Hill experience to take lead responsibility for multiple issues (including education, labor, financial services, housing, budget, and Social Security). Individual will also work closely with staff on Dept. of Energy issues, specifically nuclear waste cleanup and will be responsible for assisting the Press Secretary with writing and reviewing press releases, weekly columns, newsletters, and managing the website and social media. Candidates must demonstrate knowledge of the legislative process, sound judgment, attention to detail, and exceptional communications skills.
