The successful candidate will represent the enterprise before key decision makers in the state legislatures, governor’s offices and regulatory agencies. They will work across the enterprise on issues of legislative and regulatory concern. They will work collaboratively with both internal and external partners on regulatory and legislative issues affecting the company. They will be required to assist the government sales team in obtaining procurement specialists. He or she will manage contract lobbyists and state trade association relationships.
Job Description: 1. Represent company positions before State legislatures, executive offices and agencies (Time: 30%)
2. Write and present testimony to state legislative committees and regulatory agencies (Time: 10%)
3. Read legislation and regulations in order to identify issues of concern to CVS Caremark (Time: 30%)
4. Work with the government sales team for the PBM on state procurement opportunities and work with other internal business partners to assist them on issues affecting their departments (Time: 5%)
5. Manage consultants and state trade associations (Time: 25%)
Requirements: Education:
Bachelors Required, Masters Preferred

Work Experience:
5-8 years required
8-10 years preferred

Required Skills:
1. A strong record of state lobbying experience
2. Excellent communication skills – verbal and written
3. Good interpersonal skills
4. Willingness and ability to travel frequently required
5. Experience in the health care sector
