Communications Director - Congressman Anh “Joseph” Cao (LA-02) is seeking a Communications Director to manage an active and aggressive press operation. Candidate must possess strong writing skills and experience in working with media. Candidate should be an energetic, highly-motivated, and dedicated self-starter who is able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, drafting statements, speeches, and press releases, managing new media outreach, devising an overall media strategy, and managing communication with and inquiries from the media. Looking for a team player who embraces new challenges. New Orleans ties and experience working with Louisiana media is preferred. Health Care Policy Coordinator - Congressman Michael C. Burgess, MD (TX-26) is seeking a health care policy coordinator to work with the Communications Director and Legislative Director on the Congressman’s health care policy priorities. Additionally this position will help develop and implement the overall strategy for the Congressional Health Care Caucus. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in new media, website management and event planning. Candidate must be well organized, able to multi-task and have excellent writing skills. Unpaid Intern - Republican Congressman Duncan Hunter (CA-52) is currently seeking full or part time interns. The ideal candidate will be a college student with an interest in public policy and the legislative process. Interns will have the opportunity to attend committee hearings and assist the legislative team with research and constituent correspondence. Responsibilities will also include: answering phones, processing constituent mail, conducting tours of the Capitol, and performing other general office duties.
