Legislative Director -- House Member Personal Office

Legislative Director – Western Republican Member is seeking qualified candidate for a position as Legislative Director. The position’s primary focus will be implementing the Congressman’s Legislative Strategy on the House Judiciary Committee with a focus on immigration. Additional responsibilities will include: preparing for Committee hearings; tracking legislation and other action items in accordance with the Strategic Plan, meeting with constituents and special interest groups; drafting constituent correspondence; answering constituent inquiries and ensuring the Congressman is prepared for floor activities and votes. Excellent writing skills required. Familiarity with the Western issues is desirable. Graduate degree preferred. Previous Hill experience as Legislative Director or Legislative Assistant preferred.
