This is a key position that interacts with government auditors, investigators, and procurement personnel in all matters of contract audit, review, and investigation. Provide analytical and documentary support on a variety of compliance and audit issues. Research emerging Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). Conduct periodic compliance reviews and presentations, and perform business analyses in support of Contract Management. Responsibilities: • Represents UICTS/ Bowhead companies in government contract audits, investigations, reviews, surveys, and other examinations related to matters of Government contract and compliance. • Obtains or develops data and information required by government representatives and provides timely responses in accordance with corporate policies and procedures • Provide remediation recommendations and plans for identified compliance gaps in processes and controls based upon strategies that will be sustained in Government audits and follow industry best practices • Assists in developing and conducting government compliance/ethics training/presentations. • Designs and implements programs, policies, and practices to ensure that all Government Contracts are in compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements. • Assess product, compliance, or operational risks and develop risk management strategies. • Provide assistance to internal or external auditors in compliance reviews • Design or implement improvements in communication, monitoring, or enforcement of compliance standards. • Direct the development or implementation of compliance-related policies and procedures throughout an organization • Verify that all firm and regulatory policies and procedures have been documented, implemented, and communicated • Provide consultation and advice on compliance actions of the organization especially as related to the Federal Acquisition Regulation and the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation • Act independently to devise work plans to accomplish assigned tasks and contribute to organizational goals • Support communications and reporting function as needed • Prepares position papers on FAR and CAS issues for coordination with higher levels of management. • Assists in carrying out special projects. • Prepares compliance reports to present to management. Desired Skills & Experience Required Skills • Proficiency in MS Office and SharePoint. • Ten years knowledgeable in the areas of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (DFAR) • Excellent computer skills including competency with the Microsoft Office suite of products. • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. • Ability to interface with senior management. • Proven problem solving skills and the ability to work independently Required Experience Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with a minimum of 8-10 years relevant experience and 6-7 years’ experience in compliance. Candidates must pass a Non-DOT pre-employment drug screening, and must follow all Non-DOT Drug and Alcohol Testing Program Requirements. All post-secondary education listed on a Candidate’s application and resume must be verifiable, including but not limited to dates of attendance and degree/diploma awarded. Post-secondary education includes any courses taken through an accredited college or university in pursuit of a degree. UICTS/Bowhead will check the motor vehicle records of any job applicant where driving may be required or where a rental car must be obtained for business travel purposes. The applicant's job offer may be contingent upon this driving record check. The driving record check will include review of any appropriate state records based on the employee's application and resume. If driving is required for the position and the applicant does not have a valid driver's license, or has a driving record that meets or exceeds the criteria listed under the Unacceptable Status, the applicant will not be hired.
