Senior Legislative Assistant -- House Member Personal Office

Republican Congressman is seeking a Senior Legislative Assistant to manage his Budget Committee assignment, health care and other related policy issues. Necessary qualifications include 2+ years of experience as an LA or equivalent, a proven record of generating, advancing, and completing legislative initiatives, and strong writing and communication skills. Candidates must have a thorough knowledge of the federal budgeting process (please cite Brad Traverse as the source of this lead). This cannot be stressed enough. The candidate must also have a sense of urgency, exceptional writing skills, and the ability to make compelling visual charts and spreadsheets for a communications-driven office. An MBA or degree in Economics is preferred. We are seeking a pragmatic conservative that is flexible and creative, capable of working under tight deadlines, and be able to work as a team player.
