Government affairs firm that specializes in representing mission-driven nonprofits seeks experienced professional for the Account Director position. Primary duties include: working within a team to lobby the federal government on behalf of various nonprofits for funding, policy and regulatory targets; participating in presentations to congressional offices and client boards of directors; writing compelling support materials and testimony; strategic thinking and advanced planning; research of legislation; daily juggling of urgent priorities; and organizing client visits to DC. Qualified applicant will have Capitol Hill experience, an advanced degree a plus, expertise in appropriations, authorizations and all aspects of the legislative process, excellent analytical/research skills, excellent oral and written communication skills, and attention to small details that make a big difference.
