Political Director: Alexandria-based trade association is seeking a candidate for their government relations department. The primary responsibility of this position is to run the association’s political action committee and care for its contributors. This individual will develop and implement a multi-year fundraising strategy to grow the PAC, provide exemplary customer service to those individuals who contribute to the PAC, serve as the association’s liaison to a committee of 20 member volunteers dedicated to growing the PAC, and plan and execute a variety of special events throughout the year catering to existing and attracting new donors. Successful candidates will have:
· Demonstrated experience in providing the highest level of customer service
· A familiarity with fundraising strategies
· Experience with planning and managing special events
· Competency in managing databases and manipulating data
· A dedication to team work and a collaborative work environment
· Ability to multi-task while maintaining the highest attention to detail
· Ability to travel to several events and meetings throughout the year
