Heather Podesta + Partners is a cutting-edge government relations firm providing strategic advice to companies, trade associations, non-profits, and individuals on how to make Washington work for them. HP+P provides clients with sophisticated government relations, strategic planning, coalition building, political intelligence, and communications counsel.
Our interns will perform a range of duties, including monitoring federal legislation, attending congressional hearings, drafting briefing documents for members of the firm, and researching issues of concern to our clients. Interns' days will vary depending upon the rhythm of the congressional calendar and the needs of the firm members. Our clients' issues before Congress range from health care, to tax, trade, homeland security, energy, and education. Days are not dull, and interns will have the opportunity to learn about the legislative process and interact directly with congressional staffs and at times Members of Congress themselves. While interns will be asked to perform some administrative tasks, HP+P strives to provide interns with substantive, rewarding assignments that match their interests. We provide a fast-paced environment with fun, knowledgeable employees eager to assist interns learn more about how Washington works. We also offer the possibility of promotion for exceptional performance.
