1) Public Relations Manager – DC or NYC The Public Relations Manager works closely with the Head of Communications to build the profile of the law firm, its practice groups, and its partners. The Public Relations Manager also works on global media relations and profile-raising initiatives with the global public relations team. This position can be located in Washington, DC or New York. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Build relationships with key reporter contacts - includes fielding media inquiries and contacting appropriate members of the firm for response. Identify and pursue potential media opportunities for the firm with a particular focus on the U.S. offices, including selecting the appropriate media outlets for key departments, practice groups, offices and partners. Create and regularly update all web and print marketing collateral, including brochures, practice group descriptions, deal and case lists, and biographies. Assist in the development and production of internal and client newsletters, and regularly evaluate the need for these types of communications. In coordination with the communications team, evaluate sponsorships and opportunities to participate in various directories. Negotiate agreements and manage participation in sponsorships and directories in order to ensure that the firm receives the maximum return on its investment. Work with practice area leaders to plan practice meetings and retreats, and advise practice leaders regarding steps needed to achieve group goals.
