Research sources to identify federal funding opportunities for the research function at System components. Develop and maintain relationships and knowledge of component institutions. Serve as in-house IT contact. Essential Functions Coordinate federal representation of UT System institutions by maintaining a working knowledge of the institutions, meeting with campus researchers on a regular basis, and contracting federal officials. Manage and monitor the federal appropriations process by developing and updating internal documents, coordinating required congressional meetings, and providing supporting documents. Coordinate appointments for system institution representatives with congressional members and staff, federal agencies, and the executive branch. Research federal funding and policy opportunities for System institutions. Act as liaison to federal officials on inquiries regarding general information about institutions, policies, programs, and admissions information. Coordinate visits by federal officials to UT institutions. Assist in hosting UT System grants conference for campus researchers. Develop agenda for annual UT System research and policy conference in Washington, DC. Monitor Congressional hearings and events. Prepare summaries of congressional and federal agency actions for internal review by Vice Chancellor, Associate Vice Chancellor, and System institutions. Manage OFR's online presence and external communications including website maintenance, legislative reports, news feeds, and conference print materials.
