Interns: Republican Congressman Rob Wittman (VA-01) is seeking unpaid interns for the fall of 2011. Candidates should have an interest in public policy. Interns will have the opportunity to attend committee hearings and briefings for staff members, assist in the constituent correspondence process, as well as assist with other constituent services. Internship: Congressman Bill Posey (R-FL) has a full-time, unpaid internship available for the remainder of the 2011 Fall session in his Washington, DC office beginning asap. Duties include but are not limited to answering telephones, greeting visitors, conducting tours of the Capitol, researching legislative issues, and working with our mail database system. There will also be opportunities to experience Washington DC and cultivate your interest in American government by attending briefings, hearings, and classes.Qualified candidates should possess excellent organizational and communication skills, should have a positive attitude, and a strong work ethic. Midwest Republican seeks Deputy Press Secretary/New Media Coordinator for fast-paced media operation. Ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of on the Hill experience; as well as familiarity with working with the press.
