SHORT DESCRIPTION: The Health and Human Services Branch takes the lead in most budget and management exercises and issues that cut across the Health Division and HHS. The Branch has responsibility for: Centers for Medicare/Medicaid Program Management, Health Information Technology Initiative, Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, Medicare Hearings and Appeals, Public Health Service Commissioned Corps, Office for Civil Rights, Office of Inspector General, HHS General Departmental Management, and the Consumer Product Safety Commission. The Branch also takes the lead in working with HHS to implement management-related initiatives and improve the efficiency of HHS programs.

The Branch coordinates closely with the Medicare, Medicaid, Public Health, Health Information Data Analysis, and Income Maintenance branches in the review, analysis, and presentation of HHS budget and management issues. Other responsibilities include HHS-wide budget development, appropriations, information technology, Federal financial management, real property, and other cross-cutting policy issues that include medical malpractice liability, medical privacy, and mental health parity, and government-wide health and wellness initiatives.

Office/IT Coordinator
Third Way is an innovative and influential center-left think-tank that creates and advances moderate policy and political ideas. We advocate for private-sector economic growth, a tough and smart security strategy, a clean energy revolution, and progress on divisive social issues.

We are currently seeking an Office/IT Coordinator to oversee and support our IT Services and Office Operations. The ideal candidate MUST possess at least 5 years of IT support experience that can be used to troubleshoot, resolve, and mitigate any technical problems with end-users and network servers. We are looking for someone who can bring new ideas and solutions to our current IT structure. This candidate should be very organized, customer service focused, outgoing, detail oriented, and forward thinking to help manage the administrative aspect of this position. Strong, solid, effective communication skills are a MUST for this multifaceted position.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee IT/Phone System efficiency (40%)
§ Provide staff and users with assistance solving technical problems (computer, phones, printers, connectivity, email, smartphones, etc.)
§ Add/remove end-users to/from network, email and phone system.
§ Ensure that all IT systems run smoothly.
§ Oversee the ordering, acquisition, inventorying, and disposition of hardware and software.
§ Ensure server data is backed up properly.
§ Ensure phone system is functioning properly.
§ Design/create systems that will help improve the IT functions of the organization.
§ Act as liaison between Third Way and IT Service Provider.

Manage Office Services (30%)
§ Manage the day-to-day office and administrative services of the organization.
§ Oversee IT support, office setup, supply needs, and equipment requirements.
§ Serve as POC with outside vendors.
§ Administer Third Way’s office standards and procedures.
§ Manage office supplies budget.
§ Make recommendations to improve office operations.

Manage office efficiency (15%)
§ Ensure Office Management Manual is updated at all times.
§ Monitor facility to ensure a safe, secure, and well-maintained environment.
§ Manage emergency evacuation policy and process.
§ Maintain, manage, and reconcile Petty Cash.

Support HR Processes (10%)
§ Ensure new hires are properly setup (IT, phone, desk/office, security, etc.).
§ Process Ex-Hires out of all of the TW technical systems (email, network, phone, etc.).
§ Ensures special acknowledgement for employees’ events (i.e. birthdays, births, etc.).

Contract / Subscription Administration (5%)
§ Maintain database of all consultant contracts.
§ Work with Directors and CFO to ensure proper and timely payment.
§ Maintain and renew all publication subscriptions.
§ Setup and maintain all vendor relationships.
§ Perform other related duties as required.


REQUIREMENTS
§ Bachelor’s degree required
§ Excellent technical and computer skills (MS Enterprise Servers, Exchange, Citrix, Postini, Skype, Adobe, MACs, iPhones, iPads, etc.)
§ Candidate MUST be able to manage and support the technology listed above- Certifications a PLUS
§ Several years of experience with MS Office Suite
