GENERAL DIRECTOR CORPORATE HOSPITALITY

Basic Purpose of Job:
Lead and manage all operational aspects of Union Pacific's Selma Conference Center. Direct the planning, staging, and delivery of events hosted by the Company. Develop and execute an annual business plan. Develop and supervise a professional staff for Selma. Conceptualize, plan, and stage major UPC Corporate events at both internal and external venues.
CITY AND STATE WORK LOCATION OF POSITION TO BE DETERMINED. POSITION WILL BE LOCATED IN EITHER OMAHA, NEBRASKA OR ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI.
SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL BE ASSIGNED TO EITHER DIRECTOR OR GENERAL DIRECTOR ACCORDING TO JOB SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS.
Safety. Conduct all operations and events free of accidents and incidents in an environment conducive to highest standards of safety.
Budget. Achieve Annual Operating Budget targets for ongoing operations. Meet corporate event Budget targets.
Direct Corporate Events. Conceptualize, organize and stage premier Union Pacific corporate events. Events may be philanthropic, or corporate / financial in nature.
Protect the business and environmental interests of Union Pacific regarding Selma property and buildings.
Develop and supervise a professional staff for Selma.
Required Education, Training, Experience or Skills:
A Bachelor of Arts degree - Corporate Hospitality preferred
Preferred Education, Training, Experience or Skills:
5 year(s) experience / knowledge in customer service - Hospitality Services
5 year(s) experience / knowledge in a management / professional position - Budget and cost controls
5 year(s) experience / knowledge in Marketing and Sales - Market Development Planning
5 year(s) experience / knowledge in project management - Hospitality and Event Project Planning
5 year(s) experience / knowledge in the Supply Department - Contract negotiation and vendor management
