Government Relations Specialist
Office Management and Support
- Responsible for all aspects of a properly functioning Washington, D.C. Government Relations office including equipment, internet connectivity, telephonic, filing system, supplies and other needs.
- Provides administrative support as needed for Washington Office Directors which would include assistance with scheduling, travel, expense reports, budget planning and other administrative needs. When necessary, these duties will need to be coordinated with the Communications Manager who will help the Specialist prioritize these responsibilities with additional tasks.
Day to day administrative management of the PAC – The Specialist will have a multitude of responsibilities related to the day to day operation and administrative management of the McDonald’s Federal PAC Program.
Communications
Works closely with the communications manager on drafting correspondence, survey strategies, updates and other communication vehicles from the Government Relations Department to both internal and external audiences (Newsletters, Calls to Action, PAC communications and solicitations/issue briefs, etc).

Special Projects
On a frequent basis, the Government Relations office is approached for assistance on a variety of System needs and special requests. This position is responsible for determining initial strategies to meet the objectives of these special requests and coordinates with the appropriate staff to execute.
Relationship Mapping and Grassroots Initiatives
Works with the appropriate GR staff to assist in the development of the grassroots program.
Government Relations Workshop
Will work closely with the team to track on a day to day basis the activities, “to do” lists and responsibilities of the members of the internal and external planning team to ensure successful execution of the biennial Government Relations Workshop in Washington, D.C.
