Political Programs Intern

The Home Depot Government Relations office is looking to immediately hire a Political Programs intern(s).

Qualified candidates must have an interest and knowledge of not only the political process, but also political fundraising and grassroots. We are looking for candidates with an outgoing and friendly personality, excellent organizational skills, a proven attention to detail, strong writing and communications skills, outstanding time management skills, and a familiarity with Excel.

The Political Programs Intern duties will include, but are not limited to:
--Assist the Administrative Assistant to the Vice President with daily office tasks, including answering phones, opening mail, meeting planning and other administrative support
--Assist the Manager, Political Programs with the implementation of The Home Depot’s Political Action Committee (PAC) and grassroots programs, including the delivery of PAC disbursements, event management, the preparation for meetings, presentations, and the development of communication and marketing materials
--Responsible for the implementation of monthly PAC thank you mailing and all other PAC and grassroots mass mailings
--Maintain and update political budget spreadsheets and weekly event lists
