Madeira School Looking for Intern Sponsors

The Madeira School, an all-girls independent school in McLean, VA, is seeking offices to host students for unpaid internships on Wednesday’s throughout the school year as part of the schools Co-Curriculum program. Capitol Hill internships in the offices of Senators and Representatives are a hallmark of the Junior year at Madeira and our students have been coming to the Hill for over 40 years. Girls intern in congressional offices on Capitol Hill, for lobbying organizations, or with various governmental agencies dealing with policy issues. Tasks have varied depending on the office or organization, but often include conducting research, giving tours, answering phones, responding to mail, running errands, going to hearings or giving tours. These tasks give students the opportunity to learn first- hand how the U.S. government works. Offices are assured of interns who are highly intelligent, capable, articulate, and motivated. We are confident that they will add value to your office. If interested, please contact Laura Rainey, lrainey@Madeira.org
